LCMHCA

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) (#A17562) in the state of North Carolina and I earned my Master of Education degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from North Carolina State University. I have experience working with adolescents and adults who are struggling with a wide range of mental health issues, such as perinatal mood disorders, grief, trauma, relationship and family issues, disordered eating, body image issues, depression, and anxiety.

I take a tailored approach using a combination of cognitive behavioral, narrative, solution-focused, and acceptance & commitment therapies to assist individuals in their journey toward mental wellness. My work focuses on helping clients break the cycle of unhelpful thought patterns to develop healthier ways of thinking, feeling, and experiencing life. This involves empowering clients to see themselves as experts in their own lives and guiding them to their own solutions. As part of this process, clients gain self-knowledge, insight, and perspective into their problems. I also help clients see how physical, emotional, social, and spiritual factors affect overall wellness, and use a variety of relaxation techniques to help them achieve greater peace, calm, and present-mindedness.
